NEWS- My 2nd Article Published on Matador Network
I’m excited to announce that my second article 9 Reasons I Will Always Love Japan has been published on Matador Network. Even better, this post is generating some stir… It’s been shared nearly 7000 times on FB ā in just a week. My Matador editor says this is really good.
In case you’re not familiar with Matador Network, it is the word’s largest independent travel publication, with over 12 Million unique monthly visitors. That is HUGE! Their categories of articles include luxury, sports & adventure, culture & religion, family & kids and language studies.
They also run Matador U Travel Media School. I’m a student there studying travel photography and writing. Since June I’ve been immersed in their two in-depth photography courses, where I’m learning heaps and heaps of photo techniques, ideology and camera know-how. The courses have literally boosted my photography to the next level ā or two. And I’m just getting started on the Advanced Course. Let’s see how much more I’m going to learn and improve by the time I complete this course!
I’ve already written about what I’ve been learning in my Fundamentals of Photography Course here and my Advanced Course here.
I haven’t even delved into the Matador writing courses yet. Never the less, as a student of Matador U I have an editor to work with me on pitching and submitting articles. With her help I’ve been able to get two paid articles published on their main site thus far.
My first article 6 American Habits I Lost When I Became a Nomad in SE Asia is all about how traveling through that region changed some of my outlooks on life, personal habits and interpersonal skills.
In my latest article about life in Japan, I detail a few of the many amazing things I loved about Japan when I lived in Kyoto for six years…by giving personal accounts of situations, places, people and activities I encountered there.
If you like my personal mini-stories about life in Japan in that article, stop back here soon on LashWorldTour where I’m going to expand on that post by detailing even more wonderful things about life in Japan and the ever-courteous Japanese people.
In the meantime, head on over to My Article on Matador Network to check it out. Leave a comment! Let me know you were there and then add your perspectives. Would love to hear from you!
Thanks for your support. :)
Cheers, Lash
