Merry Christmas 2014 and Happy New Year 2015 – I’m on Vacation!

Merry Christmas in Kyoto

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas with family & friends, filled with warmth, love, laughter, delicious food and lots of fond memories…

As for me…Since beginning my world travels back in 1998, Christmas usually finds me in one tropical Asian country or the other, where I love lounging on sandy beaches, going out for special meals and calling home to the USA.

Occasionally I luxuriate at an upscale resort and spa over Christmas. Sometimes I join an adventurous tour or indulge in a special gift. I’ve come to really enjoy celebrating Christmas solo, making a special day of it from morning til bedtime, indulging in meals and experiences I can’t generally afford in my daily travel life.

This year I’ll be celebrating Christmas week at Nelson, New Zealand, the country’s sunniest region. The weather is expected to be hot & sunny, so I plan to hit the beach, lounge at lovely cafes, cycle along rivers and coast and, of course, eat heaps of delicious meals.

Toast to New Year 2015!

Then it will soon be time to celebrate New Year 2015!

…please be sure to enjoy a fun-filled, exciting New Year’s Eve as you ring in 2015 somewhere out in the world. Enjoy!

I’ll be down at New Zealand’s fabled fjords. Hopefully on Dec. 31st or Jan. 1st I’ll be cruising through Milford or Doubtful Sound, taking in the phenomenal scenery of my very first fjord visit. I just love ringing int the new year on an exciting outdoor adventure!

Meanwhile…

I am taking my usual year-end 2-week vacation over Christmas and New Year’s.

But I’ve scheduled new weekly photo galleries from New Zealand, weekly travel stories and travel tips to fill in your free reading time over the holidays. So be sure to stop by LashWorldTour if you’ve got some spare time and continue getting inspired to travel the world!

See you back online January 5, 2015.

 cheers, Lash
