I’m excited to announce that my guest post about Bali has been featured on Heather On Her Travels. Thanks Heather! I feel honored to be part of your great travel blog. :)

My guest post about Bali

For this story I wrote about Bali’s great outdoor adventures and stunning tropical nature. I hope to make more western travelers aware of ‘the real Bali’ outside of that horrid Kuta sprawl that makes Bali so infamous: mass tourism gone wrong.

Yes, there is Kuta on Bali. And yes, it’s a perfect example of a paradise destroyed by uncontrolled massive, commercialized tourism. Sadly, that seems to be the image of Bali held by most westerners, who consequently avoid the island like the plague.

The truth is that Kuta is just one tiny section of Bali island. The rest of the Island of Gods is a sublime tropical paradise with all sorts of natural eco-friendly outdoor activities to enjoy while being completely immersed in lush nature.

Bali wouldn’t be one of my absolute favorite places on the planet if it weren’t full of gorgeous unspoilt nature along with very unique & prominent cultural arts. Of all the places I’ve traveled thus far, Bali is the spot I’d most like to retire to one day.
