Nepal’s Annapurna Mountains, part of the vast Himalaya Mountain Ranges, are accessed only by foot on rugged dirt and stone mountain roads. Annapurna Circuit Trek is one of Nepal’s most famous and popular mountain hikes. Many guest houses have sprung up to house and feed passing western trekkers. The area is filled with stunning mountain scenery, spectacular valleys, pack animals and human porters carrying heavy loads, and a surprising diversity of topography and color-scapes. Here are scenes from my own Annapurna Circuit Trek.
