Merry Christmas 2017 and Happy New Year 2018

Lash - Pia - Brad at Xmas 2016Merry Christmas 2017 and Happy New Year 2018

I want to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas wherever you may be in the world.

I suppose most of you will be celebrating Christmas with family back home. But some of you might be out roaming the world like I am and celebrating in some exciting city or exotic natural destination.

I for one particularly love celebrating Christmas at tropical beaches and islands. That, to me, is paradise on Earth, so I can’t think of a better place to be for the holidays.

I love soaking in the sun on powdery white sand, swimming in a cool aquamarine sea, possibly snorkeling or diving on a beautiful coral reef. To that end, this year I’ll be luxuriating at Nicaragua’s remote, little-developed Corn Islands off the Caribbean coast.

Admittedly, having Christmas with family and/or in beautiful crisp snow is equally wonderful. So for those of you having a cold Xmas, I hope you have heaps of fluffy snow and all the gifts you’ve wished for.

A toast to the new year 2014!

Then comes New Year’s Eve!

I will still be out at the Corn Islands for New Year’s Eve this year. It’s a very popular destination over the holidays, so no doubt I’ll find a beach side New Year’s party to ring in 2018. And I’ll be sure to have a couple cocktails with Nicaragua’s world-class Flor de Cana rum!

Where will you be ringing in the New Year?

A big city? An exotic destination? A house party? Quiet evening at home?

Whatever you get up to, wherever you are in the world, and whoever you ring in the new year with, I hope you have a fabulous time, one and all!

I hope you’ve all had a wonderful 2017 and are looking ahead with great plans for 2018.

See you all soon in January! Cheers, Lash
