Tigger is the ‘kid’ part of 1 dad, 1 kid, 1 crazy adventure. He’s the energetic, fun-loving adopted son of Talon Windwalker, who I interviewed just one month ago. Today we get to hear Tigger’s account of their adventures roaming the planet on their indefinite RTW trip, which they began nearly one year ago in Mexico. They’re currently in South America, after living an island life for several months in Utila, Honduras. Let’s see what Tigger thinks about their traveling life:
Q1: I think Tigger is your nickname, right? How did you get the name Tigger? How long have you had that name?
I got it when I was like 6. I got the nickname because I like to jump.
Q2: When you and your dad were planning to leave the USA and go traveling for a long time, how did you feel about that? Were you excited and happy? Nervous? Scared? Relieved?
I was excited. And I felt a little bit sad about leaving my friends, but mostly excited.
Q3: What do you like best about your traveling life?
I get to see new things, and I get to learn other languages. For some reason I think Swedish is going to be easier for me.
Q4: Is there anything you miss about your former life in the USA and living in a permanent home?
Just my cat.
Q5: What are your 3 favorite places so far and why?
Cozumel, Utila, and the mall. They’re easy to get around. The mall is sometimes fun because I can check out video games.
Q6: Are there any places you did not like? If so, where and why did you not like them?
Guatemala just really wasn’t my place.
Q7: What are the 3 best activities / adventures you’ve done on your trip so far?
Diving, seeing an octopus crawling on land, exploring.
Q8: You recently learned scuba diving in Utila, Honduras! Congratulations! What were your 1-3 best dives? Why did you love them so much?
On my 1st dive I saw a spotted eagle ray which was pretty interesting. On my dad’s 100th dive I saw a turtle, even though my dad was diving naked. And the shark dive was pretty cool, too. The sharks weren’t as scary as I thought.
Q9: Recently you guys left Utila and flew to Colombia. What do you think of Colombia so far?
It was fun but lots of rain.
Q10: Can you please compare Utila, Honduras and Colombia for us?
Colombia is bigger and rainier. Colombia has older towns.
Q11: Are there any other countries you’re really dying to visit? If so, where and why?
Egypt and China. I want to see the animals there, and I want to try some of their foods.
Q12: How long do you want to keep traveling? .
I would like to go on forever.

Wow, Tigger, sounds like me: I’d like to keep traveling forever, too! Maybe we’ll get to travel together some day?
Thanks for the interview. Nice getting to know you better. cheers, Lash
