PHOTO GALLERY: Lash at Halloween
Growing up in the USA, Halloween was always my favorite holiday. I just love getting dressed up, and Halloween allowed my imagination to run wild and come up with the most outrageous costumes. Such fun! Then of course, getting a sack full of tasty candy was exciting too. My sweets usually lasted about two weeks with daily gorging sessions. Yum!
My love for Halloween continued into my adult years, when I managed to come up with some truly outrageous outfits during my university days. Very happily, there were always plenty of Halloween parties to attend each year to enjoy the revelry.
I was later thrilled to discover Halloween festivities in Japan while living there for 6 years. So the fun continued. I really only stopped celebrating Halloween when I began my world travels in SE Asia. Sadly they just don’t celebrate it much anywhere in this corner of the globe.
I won’t get to celebrate Halloween this year either… here in Lombok, Indonesia. At least I can think back on all the great parties I enjoyed in the past and browse photos of some of my Halloween costumes.
To that end, here’s a photo gallery of some of my more outrageous Halloween costumes from over the years. Hold on to your hats and don’t pass out… And, yes, they really are ALL me!
cheers, Lash
