I’m thrilled to report that I just arrived back in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia a few days ago. Since 2004, I’ve been in and out of KL several times per year as I travel around SE Asia. I’ve adapted my favorite spots to eat, sight see, cycle, shop, and play around the city, all of which I look forward to visiting again whenever I pass through KL.
What makes this city so much fun is its diversity of people, cultures, architecture, food, and neighborhoods. Although Malaysia is 95% Muslim, it honors freedom of religion and is comprised of a huge mix of people: Chinese Malaysians, Indian Malaysians, Malayans, and westerners. Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia’s capital, is the greatest melting pot in the country. This photo gallery presents a sampling of the surprising diversity found around KL. More to come… enjoy!
