PHOTO GALLERY: YUYUAN GARDENS AND TEMPLE- SHANGHAI
China’s gorgeous traditional architecture is nearly gone- victimized first by Mao’s Cultural Revolution and then by China’s great rush to modernize. Fortunately some superb relics remain scattered around the vast country. Yuyuan Temple Area in Shanghai is one such gem. Delight in Yuyuan Gardens and the Temples’ charming upturned clay tile roofs, ornately carved wood detailing, gilded signs and vibrant red lanterns in this PHOTO GALLERY, which I compiled while living in Shanghai. I hope you fall in love this stunning architecture as much as I did. cheers, Lash
