PHOTO GALLERY: Nudibranchs by Grahame Massicks
This is the third photo gallery in my ongoing series of underwater images by my friend and former colleague PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer and UW photographer extraordinaire, Grahame Massicks.
Like many professional divers, both Grahame and I are smitten by nudibranchs. Also know by the inglorious name ‘sea slugs’, nudibranches are essentially snails without shells. What makes them so captivating is their nearly neon colors and amazing patterns. Nudis come striped, spotted and rimmed with contrasting colors. They come in every color of the rainbow and some crazy color combos.
Please enjoy these 10 stunning images of nuidbranchs from reefs at Tioman Island, Malaysia.
