5 Things You Need to Know Before Visiting Disneyland Paris

Disneyland Paris is one of the most popular Disneyland theme parks in the world. Every year it greets about ten million visitors and those people are sure to leave the place with great memories. However, sometimes some minor details might prevent you from making the best out of your time there. The following tips will help you avoid any potential issues and make your trip to Disneyland Paris one of the best experiences of your life.

1. Download the Disneyland Paris App

Disneyland Paris is huge and being organized will make your visit here much more pleasant. The app created specifically for visitors will help you with that organization. It updates you on wait times, offers an interactive map, gives points on accessibility and generally helps design your itinerary for the day. To get all these helpful features and some more perks, download the Disneyland Paris App.

2. Arrange the transport in advance

Disneyland Paris is located in Marne-la-Valle, which is about 3 km away from the center of Paris. There are many ways to get from Paris to this resort, but you need to remember that not all of them are equally comfortable. The options you have are train, bus, or taxi. If you arrive at Charles de Gaulle airport, a taxi would be the most convenient option. Both buses and trains run on schedule, while a taxi could be there exactly when you need it to ensure you get to your accommodation directly and fast. The overall cost of the taxi ride is comparable to the price of tickets for a whole family. Remember to book the tickets in advance, regardless of which mode of transport you choose because this destination is exceedingly popular and the traffic is high. 3. Learn your way around Disneyland abbreviations

The information on your tickets and even on general information boards dispersed all over the Disneyland Paris resort contains many abbreviations. Therefore, to orient yourself you need to understand what those mean. In all Disney facilities, abbreviations are used to code everything from names of events to the names of restaurants. It’s imperative to understand them so you can even plan your day. You can check out the list of most common abbreviations for multiple Disneyland facilities and other general acronyms on Disneyland’s website.

4. Do not buy selfie sticks (and don’t bring any with you)

It should be a well-known fact, but many people are still unaware of it. Disneyland Paris has a strict ban on selfie sticks. You can’t use them anywhere on the territory of theme parks, so don’t bother bringing them at all. Also, don’t be fooled by vendors that sell these items right next to the entrance to the parks. Those products are of poor quality and hideously overpriced. And you can’t use them anyway, regardless of what an over-zealous merchant would tell you.

5. Get ready for the parade

Seeing the parade in Disneyland is one of the most memorable experiences. However, you shouldn’t forget that everyone knows this, so the event is always crowded. This means that if your family wants to enjoy the show, you need to take a spot before it begins. Use the app to see the route in advance and pick a place that seems the best for you. Then, stop with the rides and claim your spot early. You’ll have to wait for the actual show, so pick up some snacks on the way.

If you’ve already seen the parade or simply aren’t interested in it, use the opportunity it presents. This means you can use the time to enjoy the usually overcrowded rides.
