Just because you will be spending hours driving the roadways, performing outdoor activities, and sleeping in an RV rental for multiple nights doesn’t mean that you have to look like a slob on your road trip. It is always possible to look your best even if you are deprived from your usual wardrobe and subject to rougher conditions than your current day-to-day life. The trick is to make sure you follow some fashion tips in order to look your best while out on your road adventure. To this end, please read further for some important road fashion tips that will keep you looking as fresh and stylish as possible on your trip.

One Good Outfit

You may not be planning on doing any fine dining or attending any black tie affairs on your journey, but it is always advisable to take along one presentable outfit just in case. After all, traveling by RV is all about being spontaneous, and you never know if you may decide to splurge by dining out at a nice restaurant or hitting up an event that you stumble upon in the place you are visiting. It may seem like a non-issue when you are packing and going over your schedule, but you will be glad you have it should an occasion arise where you must appear presentable.

Apollo RV rental - wearing a hatHeadwear

We all have bad hair days, but these can extend to bad hair weeks when you’re out on the road. Since you sometimes won’t have access to showers with good water pressure, good shampoos and conditioners, and will be involved in outdoor activities, your hair can end up taking on a crow’s nest look by the end of the trip. An easy way to combat this is to take along a selection of hats, bandannas, or other headwear that will look good on you while covering up what may be lacking in the state of your hair. A couple of hats won’t take up too much room, so be sure to take a few with you when you hit the road.

Grooming Items

All it takes is some simple grooming items in order to make yourself presentable while travelling. All you need to do is pack a small case containing some basic items that will keep you fresh. For the male travelers, take along a razor and shaving cream so that you won’t look like a mountain man by the end of your journey. For the women, make sure to bring your favorite moisturizer or whatever product you value that keeps you together looks-wise on the day-to-day. Further than simply making you look better while travelling, looking your best will make you feel better as well, which will help you enjoy the trip all the more.

Shoes

You’ve packed your hiking boots. You have your shoes for climbing, your shoes for kayaking, and your comfortable driving shoes. So what are you missing when it comes to footwear? It will pay off to take along a decent pair of shoes that you can wear in public, shoes that serve a function beyond just activities or practical purposes. These don’t have to be anything too fancy, but a nice, stylish pair of shoes that look great on you are always a plus when travelling. Not only will these help to rescue you from looking like a slob, but they will make you feel more comfortable in situations where you find yourself amongst the locals of a town or city at your destination.

Looking good on the road doesn’t mean having to load yourself down with a massive wardrobe and beauty supplies. All you need is a few well-chosen items and you will be looking fine even after days of travel.
