Woohoo! Today I’m doubly honored: Barbara Weibel of Hole in the Donut Cultural Travel Blog has selected a second of my stories as the day’s ‘Best Narrative Travel Article’.
In Cycling Shanghai I relate the perils of bicycling through Shanghai’s manic traffic. After living and cycling in hectic Asian cities for 17 years, I thought Shanghai would be a breeze. But the city had something else in store for me…
Big thanks again to my writing mentor, Barbara, for coaxing me along. I couldn’t continue improving my writing without her. Now that two stories have passed the grade, I have hope for my future writing prowess. Just in the nick of time: I’m about to publish my two guidebooks to Bali. Whew, thanks to Barbara for what she’s taught me before publication time!
I hope you enjoy my Cycling tale. For me, I’m heading back to more editing…. Thanks for stopping by.
cheers, Lash
